The Trailblazer Curriculum is a defining part of our Pioneer Curriculum, a curated programme, built into the school day, that extends learning beyond the classroom. Where the Pioneer Curriculum builds academic mastery, Trailblazer is where students discover who they are becoming with more than 100 extended-day experiences across four pioneering pillars.

The Pioneer Framework is the foundation for learning and character development at SRI, equipping students with critical thinking, adaptability, collaboration, creativity and digital fluency. It is built on five connected elements: Learning Skills, Digital Skills, Research Skills, Values in Action and Student Agency, embedded across every subject.

Students rotate through a carousel across all four pillars, from biomechanics to robotics, oracy to contemporary dance, building broad foundations before any pathway is chosen.

Students choose specialist pathways of their own, training more deeply with industry experts, presenting at showcases, and building portfolios that reflect real, sustained development.

Students blend taught and independent study to manage their research and long-term projects, working toward EPQ-level qualifications that prepare them for university and beyond.
