How opportunity takes shape.
The Pioneer Framework is the foundation of every learning experience at GEMS School of Research and Innovation, Dubai. Delivered through research-informed teaching and rooted in the National Curriculum for England, it equips students with critical thinking, adaptability, collaboration, creativity and digital fluency, through five connected elements: Learning Skills, Digital Skills, Research Skills, Values in Action and Student Agency, embedded across every subject.

By intentionally developing learning, research and digital skills alongside values and student agency, the framework ensures every child leaves SRI not only with exceptional knowledge, but with the confidence and capability to apply it.
At SRI, students build the habits of mind, character and agency to make the most of every opportunity they encounter, in the classroom and beyond. Six core digital skills run through the curriculum: computational thinking and coding; digital leadership and online responsibility; media literacy and misinformation awareness; data literacy and AI decision-making; sustainable technology use; and digital creativity and emerging technologies. These core skills enable our students to complete research modules, gain certifications and even publish their work.
But learning at SRI doesn’t stop at academics. Our Pioneer Framework guides how students learn and treat others through Values in Action; Pioneering, Empathy, and Challenge with Care. Student Agency sits at the centre of this, expressed through Voice, Choice and Ownership.

Every subject at SRI is taught by a specialist. Our whole-school reading commitment, Reading Like a GEM, means students strengthen literacy in every classroom, not only in English lessons. Students learn to ask meaningful questions, evaluate evidence and communicate their ideas with precision, through research-led learning that connects across disciplines.

A Global Language Foundation
Arabic at the heart. World languages ahead.
Arabic runs through every student’s journey at SRI, taught as both First Language and Additional Language. From Prep (Year 3) onward, students study at least two of French, Spanish and Mandarin, building genuine fluency in the languages.
